The HV640 has a durable portable enclosure designed to protect against drops and bumps. Its stated drop-protection figure is up to 75 centimetres.
What USB standard does the ADATA HV640 use?
It uses USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity. The real-world speed depends on the host computer, cable, and the hard drive mechanism inside the portable unit.
Is the ADATA HV640 suitable for travel?
Yes, portability and protection against ordinary drops and bumps are central to its design. It is still a hard drive, so it should be safely ejected and protected from severe impact, water, and extreme conditions.
