John Durham is an American prosecutor who served as the United States attorney for the District of Connecticut from 1999 to 2017. In 2020, Attorney General William Barr appointed him special counsel to investigate the origins and conduct of the FBI's investigation into links between Russia and the 2016 presidential campaign. Durham issued a public report in 2023 and obtained one criminal conviction during the inquiry.
