Yes, content purchased through the same Barnes & Noble account is stored in the NOOK Cloud and can sync across devices. The app can sync books, bookmarks, notes, highlights, and reading position.
Can I buy a new eBook directly inside the NOOK App?
The current NOOK App does not include a shop for completing new purchases. Buy the eBook on bn.com in a browser, and it will then appear in the app's NOOK Library.
