description TEDx Overview
TEDx is a program that allows independently organized events to present talks and performances under a license from TED. Local organizers select speakers and create programs around ideas relevant to their communities, while following TEDx rules for event production and branding. TEDx events are separate from the main TED conferences, but they use a similar short-form presentation format and are intended to share ideas with a public audience.
