Ludwig August Lebrun

Ludwig August Lebrun was a German composer and flautist of the Classical period. He was born in 1752 in Mannheim, Germany and died in 1831 in Paris, France. He was a student of Johann Stamitz and was a member of the Mannheim school. He was a prolific composer, writing over 200 works for flute, including concertos, sonatas, and variations. He was also a renowned flautist, performing in many of the major European cities. He was highly respected by his contemporaries, and his works were often performed in the courts of Europe. He was an important figure in the development of the flute as a solo instrument.
