description Ryobi Blue 18V NiCd Kit Overview

The original blue Ryobi 18V NiCd (Nickel-Cadmium) kit was a revolutionary product for the DIY market in the early 2000s. However, by today's standards, it is completely obsolete. NiCd batteries suffer from memory effects, have low energy density, and are significantly heavier than modern lithium-ion batteries. These tools are no longer supported, and the batteries are difficult to find and environmentally hazardous.

They should not be purchased for any practical use today. They serve only as a reminder of how far cordless tool technology has progressed in the last two decades.
