Val d'Isère
description Overview
Linked with Tignes to form the Espace Killy, Val d'Isère is a high-altitude, snow-sure French resort with a proud Olympic and World Cup heritage. It offers an incredibly diverse range of terrain, from the gentle Solaise area to the extreme off-piste of the famous Face de Bellevarde. The resort combines a traditional, charming old village with more modern developments. Its snow reliability is excellent due to glacier skiing and extensive snowmaking.
It caters well to all ability levels, with a particularly strong reputation for expert skiing and a lively, but less raucous, après-ski scene than some neighbors, offering a great balance of challenge and French alpine charm.
