description Juicero Press Overview

The Juicero Press was a high-end, Wi-Fi-connected juicer that required proprietary, pre-packaged produce bags. It became a symbol of Silicon Valley excess when it was revealed that the bags could be squeezed by hand just as effectively as the $700 machine. It was discontinued shortly after the scandal. It ranks as 'Poor' because it provided no real value over manual methods and was an example of 'solutionism' gone wrong.

It is a classic case study in unnecessary technology and poor product-market fit.
