KOffice

KOffice was an office suite for the KDE desktop environment, which has since been largely superseded by Calligra Suite. It is technically cross-platform but is primarily designed for Linux environments. It suffers from poor file compatibility with Microsoft Office formats and a lack of modern features. The project is effectively abandoned, making it a poor choice for any current productivity needs.

It is included here as a comparison point for how far open-source office suites have evolved since the early days of Linux desktop development.
