Links is a text-based web browser that runs in the terminal. It is incredibly fast and can run on almost any platform, including very old hardware. However, it lacks support for modern web technologies like JavaScript, CSS, and complex media, making most modern websites completely unusable. It is a tool for specific system administration tasks or for users who need to access basic information from a server without a graphical interface.
It is not a functional browser for the modern web and is included for comparison.
