Dalla Valle Cabernet Sauvignon

Dalla Valle is a highly regarded Napa Valley estate winery located in the eastern hillsides of the Oakville AVA in California. The estate was founded in 1986 by Naoko Dalla Valle and her late husband Gustav. The specific vineyard location provides an ideal microclimate and well-drained volcanic soils for producing concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon.

While Dalla Valle produces a highly sought-after reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, their most famous wine is the proprietary blend called 'Maya'. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc has achieved legendary status. The 2013 vintage of Maya famously received a perfect 100-point score from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.

The winemaking at Dalla Valle has been guided by several elite consulting winemakers throughout its history. Heidi Barrett was the original winemaker who helped establish the estate's reputation in the 1990s. Today, the renowned French winemaker Michel Rolland acts as the primary consultant, ensuring the wines showcase concentrated fruit and smooth tannins.

Dalla Valle Cabernet Sauvignon is particularly favored by collectors due to its massive aging potential and concentrated, structured terroir. The estate limits production to maintain strict quality control over the grape yields. This limited availability and high critical acclaim make the wines a staple in premium fine-wine collections.
