help Death Wish 3 FAQ
What is Death Wish 3 about?
Death Wish 3 follows Paul Kersey, played by Charles Bronson, as he battles violent street gangs in New York City. NYPD Inspector Shriker becomes an important ally during the conflict.
Who directed Death Wish 3?
Michael Winner directed Death Wish 3, making it the final Death Wish film he directed. The movie was released in 1985 and continued Charles Bronson's role as Paul Kersey.
Why was Death Wish 3 partly filmed in London?
Parts of the film were shot in London to reduce production costs. The story presents London locations as New York, so some background details do not match the real city.
Is Death Wish 3 more action-focused than the earlier films?
Yes. Death Wish 3 is known for a much larger gang-war setup and heavier action than the more contained revenge story of the original 1974 film. Its plot builds toward a prolonged neighborhood defense led by Kersey and Inspector Shriker.
