DJI Mavic 3

The original DJI Mavic 3 pairs a folding airframe with a Four Thirds main camera and an adjustable aperture. These camera features give photographers and filmmakers more control over exposure and image capture than a fixed-aperture, smaller-sensor design. Its longer rated flight endurance and expanded obstacle sensing build on the Mavic 2 generation, while the standard aircraft is lighter than the Mavic 2 Pro. Firmware updates added functions that were absent at launch, so the installed software matters when assessing its available shooting features.

The model suits experienced aerial creators who can make use of the main camera's controls and who value time in the air between battery changes. Obstacle sensing assists the pilot but cannot guarantee collision prevention. Its distinguishing combination is a comparatively large main sensor and a portable folding body, with greater equipment complexity than a basic beginner camera drone.
