description Jackery Explorer 1000 Overview
The original Jackery Explorer 1000 stores 1,002Wh in a lithium-ion battery and supplies AC power through a 1,000W pure sine wave inverter with a 2,000W surge rating. At about 22 pounds, it is portable for camping or moving between rooms. An LCD shows operating information, and the documented US configuration includes three AC outlets, two USB-A ports, two USB-C PD ports and a car-style outlet. Compatible loads can include a mini-fridge or CPAP machine, with runtime determined by the appliance and its operating settings.
Wall, car and compatible solar charging support use away from a fixed socket. This original model uses conventional lithium-ion chemistry rather than LiFePO4 and has an approximately 500-cycle rating. It suits limited portable power and selected backup needs; the surge figure does not permit a continuous 2,000W load, and newer Explorer 1000 variants have different specifications.
help Jackery Explorer 1000 FAQ
How much power does the Jackery Explorer 1000 store?
The Explorer 1000 has a 1,002 Wh lithium battery. That capacity is why it is commonly used for camping, CPAP backup, small fridges, and laptop charging.
What can the Explorer 1000 run from its AC outlets?
It has a 1,000W pure sine wave inverter with a 2,000W surge rating. That can handle many mini-fridges, camera chargers, laptops, and small appliances, but not large heaters or full-size air conditioners.
Can I recharge the Jackery Explorer 1000 with solar panels?
Yes, it is designed to work with Jackery SolarSaga panels through its solar input. Recharge time depends on sunlight and panel wattage, so two panels are much faster than one in good sun.
Is the Explorer 1000 small enough for car camping?
Yes, it is a portable power station rather than a whole-home battery. Its handle, 1,002 Wh capacity, and multiple AC and USB outputs make it a practical middle size for car camping.
