While not a residential deadbolt, the Master Lock Bluetooth Padlock is an essential security tool for lockers, gates, and storage units. Its compact design and durable construction make it perfect for travelers or gym-goers who want to avoid carrying physical keys while maintaining high-level access control.
help Master Lock Bluetooth Padlock FAQ
What app does the Master Lock Bluetooth Padlock use?
It pairs with Master Lock's Vault platform — the Vault Home app for personal users, with a Vault Enterprise tier for businesses managing many locks. From the app you can lock, unlock, and view access history from your phone.
What happens if my phone or the padlock's battery dies?
You can set a backup unlock code that you enter directly on the lock itself, so a dead phone battery doesn't strand you. The internal battery is designed for long life between charges or replacements, and the lock preserves your settings when it's swapped.
Can the Master Lock Bluetooth Padlock be used outdoors on a gate?
Master Lock positions this Bluetooth model primarily for indoor uses like gym lockers, cabinets, and storage areas rather than year-round weather exposure. For exposed outdoor gates, a weather-covered traditional padlock from Master Lock's hardened steel line is usually the safer choice.
Can I give someone temporary access without sharing a key?
Yes — the app lets you grant scheduled or time-limited access to guests, like a roommate or maintenance worker, straight from your phone. You can also review the unlock log afterward to see who opened it and when.
