help Nokia Smart TV FAQ
What operating system do Nokia Smart TVs use?
The European Nokia Smart TV line launched with Android TV 9, giving it Google Play, Google Assistant, and common streaming apps. Exact software versions depend on the model, so a 2020 5500A should not be assumed to match a later licensed Nokia TV. Can Nokia Smart TV run Netflix and YouTube?
Yes. Nokia's TV documentation includes dedicated Netflix and YouTube controls, and the Android TV line was sold with Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and YouTube support. [Nokia user manual](https://www.nokia.com/sites/default/files/2023-11/nokia-user-manual-uhd-1-compressed.pdf)
Who makes Nokia Smart TVs?
The televisions are Nokia-branded products made under license by StreamView GmbH, rather than phones manufactured by Nokia Corporation. StreamView's 2020 European lineup included model names such as 4300A, 5500A, 6500A, and 7500A.
