help Rab Aeon 22 FAQ
Is the Rab Aeon 22 a 22 L daypack or a 65 L trekking pack?
The documented Aeon 22 is a Lowe Alpine 22 L technical daypack, not a 65 L expedition pack. Typical listings put it around 53 by 27 by 23 cm and about 760 g for the M/L version. [Lowe Alpine Aeon 22 review](https://www.packhacker.com/travel-gear/lowe-alpine/aeon-22-nd20/)
Can the Lowe Alpine Aeon 22 carry a hydration bladder and hiking poles?
Yes, the pack is hydration compatible and includes TipGripper or MultiLock attachment points for walking poles and other equipment. It is built for day hikes, approaches, and other multi-activity trips rather than heavy multi-day loads. [Aeon 22 product details](https://www.campsaver.com/lowe-alpine-aeon-22-backpack.html)
How does the Aeon 22 fit different torso lengths?
The Aeon 22 uses an adjustable AirContour back system and a Flexion shoulder harness, so the back length can be tuned before the pack is loaded. The M/L version is commonly listed for roughly 48 to 58 cm back lengths, but confirm the size on a specific older unit. What is the Aeon 22 main compartment like on a hike?
It is a top-loading pack with a lid, front stretch stash pocket, side mesh pockets, hipbelt pockets, and an internal valuables pocket. Its 22 L volume is enough for a day of water, layers, lunch, and safety gear, not a 65 L camping load. [Aeon 22 product details](https://www.summitgear.com.au/products/lowe-alpine-aeon-23)
