description Shokz OpenPro Overview
The Shokz OpenPro reimagines bone conduction with a sleek neckband design and a single driver per ear. It delivers richer bass and clearer audio than earlier models, thanks to a larger transducer and improved directivity. The 8-hour battery and IP55 rating make it suitable for daily use, though the open-ear clip design may feel less secure during intense motion. Best for professionals who want premium open-ear audio for music and podcasts in a stylish package.
help Shokz OpenPro FAQ
What kind of headphones are the Shokz OpenPro?
The Shokz OpenPro is described as a bone-conduction-style headset with a neckband design and one driver per ear. Unlike sealed in-ear headphones, this design is intended to leave the ear canals more open to surrounding sound.
How long does the Shokz OpenPro battery last?
The product description specifies an 8-hour battery. That figure is a stated listening estimate, so actual runtime can vary with volume, connection behavior, and battery age.
Is the Shokz OpenPro water resistant?
The listing gives the Shokz OpenPro an IP55 rating, which is intended to indicate protection from dust and water jets rather than submersion. It is therefore better suited to ordinary workouts and light rain than swimming.
Does the Shokz OpenPro have stronger bass than earlier bone-conduction models?
The description attributes richer bass and clearer sound to a larger transducer and improved directivity. Bone-conduction designs still sound different from sealed earbuds because they do not create the same in-ear acoustic seal.
