It only works with the Ascent series (like the A2300, A2500, A3300, and A3500) and compatible Venturist bases, because the attachment relies on Vitamix's wireless Self-Detect system. Older Legacy machines such as the 5200 or 750 do not have Self-Detect and cannot power it.

How big is the bowl, and what discs come with it?

The attachment includes a large bowl, around 12 cups in capacity, with a lid and feed chute for adding ingredients while running. Interchangeable discs handle slicing and shredding, plus a blade for chopping tasks.

Can it fully replace a standalone food processor like a Cuisinart?

For everyday chopping, slicing, and shredding it covers most needs, which is the point of converting your existing blender base. Heavy-duty jobs like kneading large batches of dough are still better suited to a dedicated machine such as a Cuisinart food processor.

Are the parts dishwasher safe?
