help Volti Audio Razz FAQ
What makes the Volti Audio Razz different from a conventional bookshelf speaker?
The Razz uses a horn-loaded, high-efficiency design rather than relying on a small conventional dome tweeter. Its listed sensitivity is about 96 dB, so it can produce strong output with relatively modest amplifier power.
Is the Volti Audio Razz suitable for a turntable system?
Yes. Its analog, horn-speaker design is aimed at listeners who enjoy vinyl and warm, dynamic playback. You still need a phono preamp if your turntable or amplifier does not include one.
How large is the Volti Audio Razz?
The Razz is positioned as a compact speaker in Volti Audio's horn-speaker range. Its small footprint makes it more practical for a desk, shelf, or smaller listening room than a large full-size horn system.
Does the Volti Audio Razz need a powerful amplifier?
Its approximately 96 dB sensitivity means it does not require the same amplifier power as a low-sensitivity speaker. A suitable tube or solid-state amplifier can work, provided its output and impedance match the speaker's specifications.
