1635: The Eastern Front is a 2011 alternate-history novel by Eric Flint in the Ring of Fire series. It follows the United States of Europe under Emperor Gustav Adolf as its military and political struggle extends eastward into Poland during the transformed Thirty Years' War. The novel combines seventeenth-century European warfare, religious and dynastic conflict, and the consequences of modern American knowledge introduced into the past by the time-displaced community at the center of the series.
