A Study in Terror is a 1965 British thriller directed by James Hill, with John Neville as Sherlock Holmes and Donald Houston as Dr. Watson. The film places the fictional detective in Victorian London while he investigates the real-life Jack the Ripper murders in Whitechapel. Its screenplay was written by Donald and Derek Ford and uses characters created by Arthur Conan Doyle.

The cast also includes Robert Morley, Anthony Quayle, and Judi Dench.
