Abercorn Barracks, also called Ballykinler or Ballykinlar Barracks, was a former British military base in Ballykinler, County Down, Northern Ireland. Built in 1901 and renamed in 1949 for James Hamilton, 3rd Duke of Abercorn, it became known for military training and for internment during the Irish War of Independence and later periods of Northern Ireland's conflict. The barracks closed in 2018, while the surrounding Ministry of Defence training area was retained.
