About Time (2013)

In About Time, the men in the Lake family have the ability to travel back in time to relive moments of their own lives by going into a dark room, clenching their fists, and thinking of the exact moment they want to revisit. However, they cannot travel to a time before their own birth, and changing the past alters the future timeline.

The 2013 British romantic comedy-drama was both written and directed by Richard Curtis, who is famous for writing Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral. It was the last feature film Curtis directed before shifting his focus back to writing and charitable work.

The eccentric, time-traveling father in the film is played by the renowned actor Bill Nighy. His heartwarming and humorous performance, particularly his beach ping-pong scenes, is often cited as the emotional highlight of the movie.
