Accept - Metal Heart

The title track "Metal Heart" is the album's signature song, featuring guitarist Wolf Hoffmann's incorporation of classical-inspired melodies, including a reference to Beethoven's "Für Elise." Other notable tracks include "Midnight Mover," "Dogs on Leads," and "Bound to Fail."

Metal Heart was produced by Dieter Dierks, who also produced several other Accept albums including Balls to the Wall and Russian Roulette. Dierks was a prominent producer in the German hard rock and heavy metal scene, also known for his extensive work with the Scorpions.

Udo Dirkschneider was the lead vocalist on Metal Heart, delivering the raspy, distinctive vocal style that defined Accept's classic-era sound. Dirkschneider later departed Accept and formed his own band, U.D.O., while Accept continued with other vocalists in subsequent years.

Balls to the Wall (1983) was Accept's commercial breakthrough featuring a more straightforward, anthemic heavy metal approach, while Metal Heart (1985) took a more complex musical direction with greater emphasis on classical-inspired guitar work and intricate arrangements. Many fans and critics consider Metal Heart one of Accept's most musically sophisticated albums.
