Aces & Eights is a historical Western novel by Loren D. Estleman, published in 1981. It reconstructs the final period of Wild Bill Hickok's life in Deadwood, South Dakota, and leads to his killing in 1876 while he held a pair of aces and a pair of eights, the poker combination later called the dead man's hand. The book combines frontier history with fictionalized narrative.
