adidas Terrex Agravic SL

The Continental™ rubber outsole pods are engineered specifically for superior friction on wet and dry surfaces, including slick rock. Continental rubber is widely regarded as one of the grippest outsole compounds in trail running shoes, comparable to Vibram Megagrip in wet conditions.

The Agravic SL leans toward lightweight trail running on moderate terrain rather than highly technical mountain routes. While the Continental outsole provides excellent grip, the lower-profile lug pattern is better suited for hard-packed trails and fire roads than deep mud or loose scree.

The Boost® midsole provides responsive energy return and has been used in adidas running shoes since its introduction in the Energy Boost in 2013. For ultramarathon distances, some runners find Boost compresses more than denser EVA foams, which can reduce support on efforts beyond marathon length.

The Agravic SL is positioned as a lightweight trail shoe within adidas's Terrex lineup, lighter than more cushioned models like the Terrex Speed Ultra. It sits in the versatile daily trail trainer category rather than the minimalist racing flat category.
