description ALOS-3 Overview

ALOS-3 was a Japanese optical Earth-observation satellite developed by JAXA, designed to supply high-resolution imagery for disaster monitoring, mapping, and land observation as part of the Advanced Land Observing Satellite program. It was lost in March 2023 when the H3 rocket failed on its maiden flight and was destroyed in flight, ending the mission before the satellite reached orbit.
