Amelungsborn Abbey is a former Cistercian monastery near the town of Negenborn in Lower Saxony, Germany, founded in 1135, making it one of the oldest Cistercian foundations in German-speaking lands. It was secularized during the Reformation and later re-established as a Lutheran religious community, which continues to operate today. The abbey church survives largely intact and is one of the oldest brick churches in northern Germany.
