help Antec P183 FAQ

Does the Antec P183 have a tempered-glass side panel?

No. The P183 predates the tempered-glass case trend and uses layered solid panels intended to suppress noise. It was introduced as a quiet-performance successor to Antec's well-known P180 series.

Why is the Antec P183 divided into two chambers?

The lower chamber separates the power supply and lower drive cage from the motherboard area. That layout was intended to isolate heat and noise, though it can make cable routing harder with modern power supplies.

Can the Antec P183 fit a modern long graphics card?

It can accommodate a longer card if the upper hard-drive cage is removed. Very large current GPUs may still present width, connector, and airflow problems because the chassis was designed before today's oversized cards became common.

Does the Antec P183 support modern 360 mm liquid coolers?

Not without substantial modification. Its stock cooling design centers on 120 mm fan positions rather than the open 360 mm radiator mounts found in current cases such as the Fractal Design Define 7.
