Spreading the Disease is the second studio album by the American thrash metal band Anthrax, released in 1985 through Megaforce Records and Island Records. It was the band's first album with vocalist Joey Belladonna and bassist Frank Bello, joining guitarists Scott Ian and Dan Spitz and drummer Charlie Benante. The record combines rapid thrash riffs with Belladonna's melodic, high-register singing, and includes songs such as "Madhouse," "A.I.R.," and "Medusa."
