description Astro-H / Hitomi Overview
ASTRO-H, later named Hitomi, was a Japanese X-ray astronomy satellite developed by JAXA with international partners, including NASA. It launched from Tanegashima Space Center on February 17, 2016, carrying instruments intended to study high-energy sources from soft X-rays through hard X-rays and soft gamma rays.
