Why does Baccano! jump between the Flying Pussyfoot and New York?
Baccano! is built as a non-linear crime story, cutting between the 1930 Flying Pussyfoot train massacre, 1931 New York gang conflicts, and older immortality events. That structure comes from Ryohgo Narita's light novels rather than a normal episode-by-episode mystery format.
Who are Isaac and Miria in Baccano!?
Isaac Dian and Miria Harvent are the eccentric thief couple who keep stumbling into the series' violent mafia and alchemy plots. Their comic rhythm is one reason Baccano! feels different from Durarara!!, another Ryohgo Narita story.
