description Bjørnafjorden Overview

Bjørnafjorden is a broad fjord in Vestland county, western Norway, extending inland from the North Sea coast. It separates areas south of Bergen and forms part of the landscape crossed by local ferry and road connections. The fjord has also been examined as a location for a floating bridge in the proposed E39 Coastal Highway Route, a large transport project intended to improve connections along Norway's western coast.
