Bob Cooper (1925–1993) was an American jazz saxophonist and oboist who played a crucial role in the development of the West Coast cool jazz movement. He is best known for his long tenure as a core member of Howard Rumsey's Lighthouse All-Stars, the resident band at the Lighthouse Café in Hermosa Beach, California. Cooper was highly regarded for his smooth, lyrical tenor saxophone improvisations and his pioneering work in integrating the oboe into modern jazz ensembles.
