help BOYA BY-V2 FAQ
What is the BOYA BY-V2 designed for?
The BOYA BY-V2 is a compact dual-clip lavalier microphone system for recording speech on smartphones and cameras. Two clip-on microphones make it useful for interviews, conversations, or two-person video shoots.
How many microphones are included in the BOYA BY-V2 setup?
The BY-V2 is designed around two clip-on lavalier microphones. That lets it record two speakers without requiring each person to share one microphone.
What does the cardioid pattern do on the BOYA BY-V2?
Its cardioid polar pattern is intended to focus more on sound from the front of each microphone. In practical use, that can help capture speech while reducing some sound from the sides and rear.
Can the BOYA BY-V2 be used for outdoor recording?
Yes, its compact clip-on design is intended for on-the-go recording with phones and cameras. For outdoor work, placement close to the speaker remains important because a small lavalier microphone cannot remove all wind and background noise.
