description Bull Ray Overview

The bull ray (Myliobatis freminvillei), also known as the bullnose ray, is a species of eagle ray native to the western Atlantic Ocean. Its range extends from the Gulf of Mexico and Florida up the eastern coast of the United States to New England. This ray is distinguished by its broad, ox-like snout and heavy, crushing tooth plates, which it uses to consume hard-shelled invertebrates such as mollusks and crustaceans along the coastal sea floor.
