Camp Taji

description Camp Taji Overview

Camp Taji was an Iraqi military base about 20 miles northwest of Baghdad that hosted United States-led coalition forces during the Iraq War and later Operation Inherent Resolve. Coalition partners used it to train and advise the Iraqi Army, Iraqi Air Force, and other Iraqi security units. On 23 August 2020, the coalition transferred its area of Camp Taji to the Iraqi Security Forces, which assumed responsibility for the facilities and continued training there.
