Casio released the PX-S1100 in 2022 as the successor to the PX-S1000 from 2019, keeping its place in the Privia line as one of the slimmest 88-key weighted digital pianos on the market. The update refined the speaker system and key feel rather than changing the concept.

Its Smart Scaled Hammer Action is competent but most reviewers put it behind the Roland FP-30X's PHA-4 action and roughly on par with the Yamaha P-125's GHS keys. Where the Casio wins is portability and price, since it's dramatically thinner than either competitor and typically lands at a lower street price.

It ships with an AC adapter but can also run on six AA batteries, a signature trick of the slim PX-S series that makes it one of the few full-size weighted keyboards you can genuinely take to a gig or practice space without power. Expect only a couple of hours of playing time with the speakers on.
