Growing moss heath requires meticulously replicating its native alpine conditions, meaning it needs highly acidic, well-draining soil. It should be planted in a location that offers partial shade to protect it from intense afternoon heat. It is a challenging plant to cultivate but does exceptionally well in specialized rock gardens.
