Citizen's Eco-Drive technology uses a solar panel beneath the watch dial to convert both natural and artificial light into electrical energy, which is stored in a rechargeable cell inside the watch. This eliminates the need for battery replacements, as the watch continuously charges whenever it is exposed to any light source.

The Chronos Pro's 200m water resistance rating makes it suitable for recreational scuba diving, swimming, and snorkeling. However, dedicated dive computers or ISO-certified diver's watches may be preferred for professional or technical diving, as the Chronos Pro is designed as a versatile sport watch rather than a dedicated deep-diving instrument.
