Copperplate Gothic

description Copperplate Gothic Overview

Copperplate Gothic is an all-capital typeface designed by American type designer Frederic Goudy and released in 1901. Distinguished by its combination of gothic letter proportions with small, flattened serifs, the design was originally commissioned for use by a copperplate engraver. It does not contain lowercase letters, only small capitals, making it suitable for headings, business cards, and formal stationery rather than long text blocks.
