The Cuban wetlands are a flooded grasslands and savannas ecoregion found across low-lying parts of Cuba. They include extensive marshes, seasonally inundated grasslands, and swamp habitats, with the Zapata Swamp forming the largest and most biologically prominent area. The ecoregion supports localized and endemic wildlife, including the Zapata wren, and provides habitat for resident and migratory waterbirds.
