Dear Committee Members

description Dear Committee Members Overview

Dear Committee Members is an epistolary novel written by Julie Schumacher and published in 2014. The narrative is constructed entirely through a series of letters of recommendation written by Jason T. Fitger, a deeply cynical and beleaguered professor of creative writing at a mediocre liberal arts college. Through his increasingly desperate and passive-aggressive letters, the novel exposes the petty departmental politics and administrative failures of modern academia.

The book won the Thurber Prize for American Humor and is aimed at readers of academic satire.
