description Denge Marsh Overview
Denge Marsh is a part of Romney Marsh in Kent, England, near the Dungeness and Greatstone area. The wetland has been drained and used as grazing marsh, while its northern edge is associated with the surviving acoustic mirrors at the former RAF Denge site. Built between 1928 and 1930, the large concrete reflectors were experiments in detecting approaching aircraft by sound before radar made this form of warning obsolete.
