Dolmabahçe Mosque, also called Bezmialem Valide Sultan Mosque, is an Ottoman mosque in Istanbul opposite Dolmabahçe Palace on the Bosphorus waterfront. Construction began in 1853 at the order of Bezmialem Valide Sultan and was completed under her son, Sultan Abdülmecid, after her death. Its 19th-century design is associated with Ottoman Baroque architecture, and the mosque remains a place of worship and a historical landmark.
