Dynaudio Contour 20i

The "i" update primarily introduced a redesigned crossover network and a fresh cabinet aesthetic with a more sculpted baffle. These changes resulted in improved high-frequency clarity and a slightly more precise soundstage compared to the non-i predecessor.

The Contour 20i is optimized for small to medium-sized rooms where its robust bass response can be properly controlled. In larger spaces, the bass might start to sound thin, making a larger floorstanding speaker like the Contour 30i a better choice.

It features Dynaudio's signature soft-dome Cerotar tweeter, which incorporates a Hexis inner dome to shape sound waves and reduce distortion. This design allows the speaker to deliver incredibly detailed and smooth high frequencies without sounding harsh.

While the speakers have a moderate sensitivity rating of 85dB, they do require a decent amount of current to control their woofers effectively. Pairing them with a high-quality amplifier delivering around 100 to 150 watts per channel will ensure they perform optimally at higher volumes.
