He co-wrote Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989) with Chris Matheson and wrote the screenplay for Men in Black (1997). He also created or co-wrote later entries in the Bill & Ted series and wrote Now You See Me (2013), linking his work to both comic and high-concept genre films.
