Eoagnostus

description Eoagnostus Overview

Eoagnostus is an extinct genus of early agnostid trilobites known from terminal Lower Cambrian to earliest Middle Cambrian rocks. Its recorded occurrences include the Kinzers Shale and other formations in the eastern United States, Newfoundland, and Greenland. The genus is highly effaced: the frontal part of the glabella is weakly defined or absent, while the posterior glabella is inflated, a combination used to distinguish it from related agnostids.
