Expressive E Osmose

The Osmose is an MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) controller, meaning each key can independently send pressure, pitch, and timbre information simultaneously on a per-note basis. Unlike a standard MIDI keyboard that sends a single velocity and channel-wide pitch bend, the Osmose allows for multidimensional, per-note expressiveness similar to an acoustic instrument.

Yes, the Osmose includes a built-in sound engine powered by the EaganSound synthesizer developed by Haken Audio, originally created for the Continuum Fingerboard. This means the Osmose can function as a standalone instrument without needing a computer, while also serving as a controller for external MPE-compatible software.

The Osmose features 49 full-sized keys arranged in a standard keyboard layout, but each key is a continuous pressure-sensitive surface capable of sensing movement in multiple dimensions.
